About passion for playing music together
I’m a Finnish pianist and singer, composer and Suzuki teacher. I studied music at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. I graduated from there with a Bachelor Degree in Music Pedagogy in 2004. I continued my music studies in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and graduated from there with a Master of Music Degree in Music Pedagogy in 2019.
I founded The Turku Suzuki School in 2009, which is a private music institute providing Basic Education in the Arts. At my school I work as the headmaster, as a piano teacher and a teacher of the early childhood music education groups. My piano pupils are from the age 3 to adults.
During my work years I have had difficulties to find suitable pieces for young pianists to play together. That’s why I have composed and made a lot of arrangements for piano multiple hands. I want to advance piano ensemble and arts integration in the Basic Education of the Arts by publishing a collection of new sheet music for piano multiple hands and draw an attention to climate change with help of art.
